Hi there! We recently received the half log mantle which we ordered from your company. It is just beautiful, and was completed so quickly. The only question we have is whether we can put any type of a stain or finish on the wood, and if it is recommended that we do so. I would like it just a shade darker if stain is an option. Please let us know your recommendation as we don't want to do anything that might damage this piece of art. Thanks so much!

The basement project is finally finished. I used Cabot willow reed stain with a Min-wax polycrylic water based finish. The polycrylic finish really made the beauty of the wood jump out. I really enjoyed finishing my basement without any frustration or anxiety. The product was absolutely outstanding. The installation was easy and fun because of the excellent product. The boards were not warped. The tongue and groove went together easily. The end matching made the job go quicker with less cuts and very little waste. The inside and outside corners allowed a precise and professional installation, and I am certainly not a professional. The process was excellent from the ordering process and your easy to understand explanations such as using the electrical blocks. I almost wish I could start another project using your product. My wife Mary really enjoyed decorating as you can see. We enjoy our “lodge” atmosphere just a few steps into our basement. I will certainly refer anyone wanting to use knotty pine and ½ log siding to the Woodworkers Shoppe. Thanks

I wanted to let you know that my project is complete and I'm very pleased with the end result. I was hesitant to order the material sight unseen from Michigan but it worked beautifully. I couldn't convince myself that the waste would be as minimal as advertised so I do have some left over. Not a problem as I have people lining up to take it off my hands. My installer said the quality of the material was superior to anything he had used. Thanks again for your assistance.
