Cedar Quarter Log Siding....The most economical way to give your home a full log look is with cedar log siding. The quarter log siding is a much more affordable choice while still giving your home or cottage the look of half log as you approach from the road.

Available in 2 popular sizes.....2x6 & 2x8 in 62.5 sq. ft. packages that make ordering easy. Packages will be combined together if more than one is chosen to consolidate the packaging for delivery.

All pieces of our quarter log siding are tongue & groove on the ends as well as along the lengths of the siding on top and bottom.
There's no unsightly face nailing needed like typical lumberyard - lap style log siding installations.
This is a premium product that's been defected of any loose knots, cracks or warped boards. It's literally a "No-Waste" product!

Cedar Quarter Log Siding -  is available in hand-hewn surface (seen above) or smooth texture. Please allow an additional 2 weeks for the hand-hewn surface. The majority of the siding pieces are 8 foot long with a random assortment of shorter pieces mixed in and all have our unique end-matched tongue & groove system for a no-waste installation. We cut out all the defects if found and tongue and groove each piece.

All quarter log sidings have coordinating 3x4 "D" Trim for trimming around windows & doors as well as our standard 6" diameter log vertical corner for exterior corners. 3x3 inside corners are available to meet your project's inside corner needs. We also offer some unique wooden boxes for the use of trimming out your electrical boxes and light fixtures.

The 3x4 D trim, vertical log corners, 3x3 inside corners & electrical boxes should all be installed before installing the quarter log. Don't forget to apply an exterior stain coating and caulk to all butt joints where there is no tongue and groove. Areas to caulk, both sides of the D trim (where the trim butts to windows & doors, as well as where the siding butts against it). Caulk where the inside corners meet the siding and same with the Vertical log corners. Lastly, around the outside edges of the electrical boxes where the siding butts in.


Sold here in 62.5 square foot quantities here and in Cedar
Each 62.5 sq. ft. selection are broken down in size these sizes for internet sales only and are equivalent to 1/8th of our full stocking unit size. Our full unit is just under 500 sq. ft.
Multiple selections of each 62.5 quantity will be packaged together until a full unit is acheived. If more than a full unit (8 x 62.5 = full unit), then each additional selected 62.5 sq. ft. size will be combined successively until the next full unit is achieved and so on...

Not only is this a great log siding for the exterior, but is commonly used in basement remodels on the interior, as well in where moisture is present in bathrooms! Pine quarter log siding is used in basements, dens, family rooms, bedrooms and living rooms.

Shipping
is provided by Fed-Ex Freightways. Our company ships large quantities daily with each carrier and our shipping discounts are passed on to you the customer! For orders in excess of 1500 sq. ft., we have our own delivery service that may be the more economical choice. Please call for more info and a detailed pricing quote. (800-818-9971)


Each order
that is shipped by Fed-Ex takes about 2-3 weeks to have your log siding pulled, packaged & then shipped. Hand hewn surface requires an additional 2 weeks. You will be provided with a tracking number at shipment so that you can get an idea of when your shipment will be arriving.

How will my order arrive? IMPORTANT!!! READ ALL...
Freight Shipments are delivered by small enclosed semi-trucks to the end of your driveway at roadside. If your street/driveway is winding through the woods, not snow plowed or is inaccessible for the freight truck, your delivery might be to the nearest point of access. You can also set up off-loading with a local lumber yard in some cases. Another option is to pick your package(s) up at the local Fed-Ex Terminal by pick-up truck or trailer.

You must be able to off-load the material in a timely manner (15 minutes or less) and would require that you have adequate/able bodies on-hand (2-3) to hand unload if a fork lift was not available at your delivery location.

There are NO LIFT-GATES available on these trucks.

The drivers have many other destinations, so your cooperation is very helpful.

Two additional options if you cannot take delivery at your residence
1) You can also set up off-loading with a local lumber yard in some cases.
2.) Another option is to pick your package(s) up at the local Fed-Ex or XPO Freight Terminal by pick-up truck or trailer, but you'll need to provide the carrier with your plans. They will only keep your order in their terminal for 1 day!

Package sizes
The 62.5 square foot packages weigh approximately 195 lbs. each and are 9' long. Packages over the 62.5 sq. ft. will still be 9' long, but will be larger in height and the width will never exceed 48". Multiple packages will be combined into one package/pallet until reaching a full unit size of (8) 62.5 sized packages.

So all packages will fit into the back of a standard pick-up truck with room between the wheel wells is you are picking up at the freight terminal or lumberyard.

A full unit of (8) - 62.5 sq. ft. quantities, would weigh between 1600-1800 lbs. and would measure approximately 9' long x 48" wide x 32-36" high.

Damages?
Each driver is aware of the packages and the condition of each as you off-load. In the unlikely event that you notice any apparent damage, have the damages noted on the delivery receipt by the Driver before you sign and call The Log Home Shoppe/The Woodworkers Shoppe immediately to have your replacements sent out and to have the claim processed. You must contact us within 10 days of receipt of the damaged materials.
