Cetol 1 is a premium, translucent, exterior wood basecoat to be used with Cetol 23 Plus. It's superior oil/alkyd formulation offers excellent penetration and adhesion to a vertical wood surface. Normally used as the first and possible second coat for the Cetol 1 - Cetol 23 Plus system. May also be used on its own as a 3-coat system for specific purposes; (i.e. outdoor furniture and fences). Application:
Surface and Air temperature - 50*-95*F (10*-35*C)
Coverage - Smooth wood - 250-350 sq. ft./gallon
                 Rough wood - 200-300 sq. ft./gallon
Drying Time - Touch dry after 3-4 hours, recoatable in 24 hours, at 68*F (20*C) and 65%relative humidity. At temperatures below 50*F (10*C), or conditions of high humidity, the drying time will be extended.
